Worship Service -- Sundays at
11:00 am
The St. Andrew community gathers every
Sunday morning for
worship, prayer, and
fellowship. Our worship services feature traditional Christian and
Wesleyan (United Methodist) practices and rituals, including music
from the United Methodist Book of Hymns. However, we also include
music and forms of Christian prayer and praise from other traditions
and cultures. We believe in the value of traditional forms of
worship while at the same time celebrating the diverse ways in which
Christians throughout the world worship God.
Our worship service
typically begins with music and general congregational
announcements. We welcome children into our worship service and have
time especially designed for them called Children's Chat. A
nursery--staffed each week by trained church volunteers--is provided
as an option for younger children.

Prayer and praise are essential to
our worship experience. Each Sunday we light our peace candle
and have a prayer specifically for peace in our nation and peace
throughout the world. We also have a time for people to share
specific celebrations and prayer concerns. We believe in lifting
up our joys and our deepest sorrows and struggles before God.
While we follow many of the
traditional rituals of the Christian church, our worship creed
is "Come as you are!" You don't have to dress a
particular way or know the rituals of the church to worship
with us! |
Communion services are
held on the first Sunday of each month.
Matthew 11:28-29
Come unto me, all you that labor an are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me;
for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest. |
